We will develop polyurethane urea polymer by reacting the adduct of castor oil and toluene diisocyanate with 1,8 diamino octane in a nitrogen atmosphere with methyl ethyl ketone as solvent and dibutyltin dilaurate as a catalyst. The prepared polymer will be modified using various additives like UV resistant, fire retardant, antimicrobial, etc. Finally, the modified polyurethane urea (PUU) polymer will be coated on high tenacity fabrics such as polyester, fiberglass, nylon, and kevlar using a knife coating method. The use of biomass-derived coating material will help to preserve the environment. Only single polymer will be used to attain the required performance of architectural fabric. The process is simple and cost effective.
