The two major components of a pharmaceutical formulation are drug and excipients. Though considered inert, excipients can dynamically cause instability in formulation by interacting with the drug. Thus, to develop a stable formulation, a drug excipient compatibility study (DECS) is being conducted prior to formulation development which assists in selection of the suitable excipients. However, the traditional DECS is a time-consuming process where drug & excipients are mixed and charged on stability for 3 months which causes a significant delay in the drug development cycle. Therefore, a novel approach is proposed which will be time-saving and effective in investigating the appropriate excipients by increasing intimate contact between drug and excipients up to multi folds due to the reduction of drug particle size. The developed approach will produce the results within weeks thereby reducing the timeline of 3 months to 1 week and ultimately accelerating the drug development process.

However, due to fewer trained physiotherapists, the complexity of the hand structure, and the tedious rehabilitation process, most patients do not fully recover in time. Conventional therapy is limited in providing rigorous and regular exercise practice, task-specific training, and continuous monitoring for feedback and motivation. Also, patients need to visit physiotherapy centers to use these systems, increasing the time and money spent. Therefore, most patients drop rehabilitation early without complete recovery. We are therefore developing a cost-effective virtual hand rehabilitation system that can be used at home to enable patients to recover faster.

The Fluoride cartridge product which we created consists of SiO2 nanoparticles, which can be recovered from rice husk-coated SiO2 and silver nanoparticles from Cucumis prophetarum leaf extract used in the defluoridation from groundwater for rural people. These nanoparticles will be put in an acrylic tube, which will be layered between glass wool and glass beads. The 2.5 cm of each fluoride will be kept in the small mesh for uniform distribution of water. These nanoparticle act an good adsorbent which will remove the fluoride from ground water. These adsorbent for defluoridation from ground water is highly advantageous as it has enhanced affinity towards fluoride. The mechanism of the adsorbent will be electronegative charge of fluoride gets attracted to the electropositive charge of the adsorbent, ion exchange mechanism, and ligand attachment will take place. Thus fluoride removal using the adsorption method of the present invention is highly efficient, simple, easy, and economical.

We propose to develop highly stable supermacroporous collagen I punctal plug with improved hydration, stability and drug releasing property. The proposed punctal plug having open porous structure and high elasticity, which can absorb large amount of water and prevent plug loosening. The developed punctal plug would also allow the direct loading of drug or by the incorporation of drug-loaded nanoparticles for sustained delivery of drug to relieve infection in dry eye disease.

In India, out of the 6.73 million hectares of land affected by salinity,Gujarat alone constitutes 2.23 million hectares. Gujarat contributes significantly to India’s groundnut production, accounting for 40.5% of the total output, where Junagadh district is the leading producer. The Saurashtra region in Gujarat is particularly affected by soil salinity. Considering the unique and beneficial impacts of both zinc oxide nanoparticles ZnO NPs and a plant hormone melatonin (Mt) on plant growth, ZnO NPs were functionalized with Mt (ZnOMt NPs). This novel agent has the potential to promote plant growth and protect against salinity stress, thereby holding promising applications in sustainable agriculture.
