Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder with multi-faceted pathogenicity and multi-organ complications, which affects 537 million people worldwide. Additionally, it is estimated that nearly 73 million people are affected by DM in India. Infertility is one of the major secondary complications associated with DM. Oxidative stress and irregularities in protein biosynthesis play a significant role in the pathophysiology of diabetes-related male reproductive impairment. Synthetic drug used for the treatment of diabetes have their own side effects, which even worsen the impact of DM on the reproductive system. Roots of Argyreia nervosa, Withania somnifera, and fruits of Tribulus terrestris are indicated in Ayurveda as spermatogenic and to treat male reproductive function disorders. The proposed formulation will generate a patent, with a major commercial application as an adjuvant to male patients taking medicines to control DM and male infertility
