We are proposing a new alternative efficient wound healing ointment MUPOPROCIN to the surgical wound care product market. It contains Propolis - 2% w/v and Mupirocin - 2 % w/v with other polymerising excipients. Propolis is Propolis or bee glue is a resinous mixture that honey bees produce by mixing saliva and beeswax with exudate gathered from tree buds, sap flows, or other botanical sources. It is used as a sealant for unwanted open spaces in the beehive. In vitro studies also shows antibacterial,antimicrobial and antifungal properties of propolis . Mupirocin is potential topical ointment mainly effective against staphylococcus and other gram positive cocci. It’s used widely in wound healing and wound care .
