The Fluoride cartridge product which we created consists of SiO2 nanoparticles, which can be recovered from rice husk-coated SiO2 and silver nanoparticles from Cucumis prophetarum leaf extract used in the defluoridation from groundwater for rural people. These nanoparticles will be put in an acrylic tube, which will be layered between glass wool and glass beads. The 2.5 cm of each fluoride will be kept in the small mesh for uniform distribution of water. These nanoparticle act an good adsorbent which will remove the fluoride from ground water. These adsorbent for defluoridation from ground water is highly advantageous as it has enhanced affinity towards fluoride. The mechanism of the adsorbent will be electronegative charge of fluoride gets attracted to the electropositive charge of the adsorbent, ion exchange mechanism, and ligand attachment will take place. Thus fluoride removal using the adsorption method of the present invention is highly efficient, simple, easy, and economical.
