Dinesh Ramesh Gurav, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2017 batch from the Gujarat cadre, has held key positions in the Gujarat government. He currently serves as the Director of Higher and Technical Education. Previously, he served as the District Development Officer (DDO) in Amreli and as the Assistant Collector & SDM in Khambhalia.

Shri Dinesh Ramesh Gurav, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2017 batch from the Gujarat cadre, has demonstrated a commendable trajectory in public administration. An alumnus of the College of Engineering Pune (COEP), he secured an impressive All India Rank of 160 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. His early career included the role of Assistant Collector and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Khambhalia, where he was instrumental in overseeing administrative functions and maintaining law and order.

In June 2021, Shri Gurav was appointed as the District Development Officer (DDO) of Amreli district. In this capacity, he focused on implementing development projects and initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure and public services. His tenure was marked by efforts to enhance rural development and governance.

By February 2025, in recognition of his contributions, he was appointed as the Director of Higher Education in Gandhinagar. Shortly thereafter, he was entrusted with the additional responsibility of Director of Technical Education, reflecting the administration's confidence in his capabilities to oversee and advance the state's educational framework.
