About Speaker : Asha Jadeja Motwani is a Silicon Valley-based venture capitalist, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and a champion for “exponential change” in the world. She is an influencer with a vision to ignite the imagination of young entrepreneurs to become true change-makers. As a change agent, she supports non-formal learning, women’s leadership, and entrepreneurship, and policy change for economic growth. Asha is the founder of Motwani Jadeja Family Foundation, a US-based non-profit that strives to develop a network of entrepreneurs in South Asia trained to think and drive exponential change. The foundation’s priorities include disruptive entrepreneurship, poverty alleviation, gender equality, and sustainable development. A firm believer in self-sustaining social movements supported by local communities, she created Maker Fest - a grassroots social movement in Africa, India, and more recently you in Brazil. She created India’s first network of dozens of Fablabs and set up India’s first self-supported School in the Cloud in Ahmedabad. This movement has now grown to over 60 schools in the cloud.
