About Speaker : Dr. Anita Gupta is the Adviser/Scientist G at DST, Govt. of India. She has over 25 years of professional experience in managing Govt. of India programs in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Start-ups and Incubation coupled with research and academic experience at premier technical institutes. Currently Associate Head ( Innovation and Entrepreneurship) at Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. It leads the country for promoting Technology Business Incubators and Start-ups in the tech domain under the national initiative of Startup India. She has played a significant role in both the horizontal and vertical growth of innovation, entrepreneurship and startups in the country. She has played a significant role in establishing over 150 technology business incubators at Institutions of excellence including IITs, IIMs, NITs, and leading private universities and institutions. Deeply involved in transforming the Indian innovation landscape by engaging new models of Public-Private Partnerships with leading MNCs i.e Intel, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Texas Instruments, Tatas and Bennett Coleman and Co, etc.

No sector can progress without implementing technology-based solutions to scale up. National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) (est. In 1982) to promote and develop entrepreneurship through science and technology. Characteristic Features: A democratic open society, Strong technology base, Vibrant capital markets, Increasing youthful population/ Demographic Dividend, A sizeable market of customers with vast unmet needs (Which Indiana market has been always provided), Environment of full and free competition in the private sector. Elements of incubation program: Government support, Team execution, Innovative idea, Mentors, Networks, Services, Innovative finance. Getting responsibilities at earlier stages and with that in mind creating a business model is something we have to look out for to achieve a great deal out of every idea.
