Post-Pitching Site Visits Offer Startups Real-World Exposure to AMC Operations and Infrastructure
As part of the “𝐔𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐗 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝 - 𝐚 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦,” organized by i-Hub Gujarat in collaboration with Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation - AMC and City Innovation Exchange (CiX) on 5th May 2026, a series of focused one-to-one pitching sessions were conducted. Startups from four sectoral domains engaged directly with AMC officials and domain experts, presenting solutions aligned with urban challenges and opportunities.
Following the pitching sessions, curated site visits were organized across key AMC facilities to provide practical exposure to city-scale operations and infrastructure. 𝟒𝟎+ startups, along with 𝟏𝟓+ domain experts and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) officials, visited:
- 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 (𝐂𝐂𝐂), 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐢 - to understand integrated digital governance and smart city systems
- 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐑𝐓𝐒 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐔𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐚 - to gain insights into intelligent urban mobility and transport management
- 𝐒𝐕𝐏 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 - to observe public healthcare infrastructure and service delivery mechanisms
- 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞-𝐭𝐨-𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 (𝐉𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥) - to explore processes of energy generation from municipal waste
The initiative provided valuable on-ground learning, helping align innovative solutions with real-world urban needs.
