KANAD S.H.I.E.L.D. 2026 Brings Together Startups, Students and Security Experts
Under the 𝐊𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐃 𝐒.𝐇.𝐈.𝐄.𝐋.𝐃. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 - 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐄𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐲𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐋𝐚𝐰 𝐄𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, organised by the Cyber Crime Branch, Ahmedabad City Police, in collaboration with i-Hub Gujarat and Karnavati University (KU), a hackathon was organised to promote innovation and technology in the field of cybersecurity.
The hackathon featured 𝟓𝟎 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟔𝟎 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧, with their solutions evaluated through 𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐬 comprising experts from diverse domains.
With problem statements structured across five key themes 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝟏: 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐝 & 𝐂𝐫𝐲𝐩𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬; 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝟐: 𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐓, 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐖𝐞𝐛 & 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞; 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝟑: 𝐀𝐈 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 & 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬; 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝟒: 𝐒𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐀𝐈 & 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚; 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝟓: 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠.
The hackathon provided a collaborative platform for young innovators, startups, academia, industry experts, and law-enforcement stakeholders to develop technology-driven solutions addressing real-world cybersecurity, law-enforcement, and public safety challenges.
