i-Hub Gujarat Welcomes Ms. Kavita Rakesh Shah, IAS, for Startup Ecosystem Interaction
On 23 June 2026, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐊𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐡, 𝐈𝐀𝐒, 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐂𝐓 & 𝐞-𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 & 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 (𝐃𝐒𝐓), 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭, visited i-Hub Gujarat to gain insights into Gujarat’s startup ecosystem and interact with startups working across technology sectors.
The discussion provided an opportunity for startups to present their solutions and exchange perspectives on the opportunities associated with developing and scaling technology-driven innovations. The interaction covered a diverse range of sectors, including enterprise technologies, cybersecurity, assistive technologies, data infrastructure, automation, digital transformation, advanced computing, and emerging technology applications.
Discussions also focused on government support mechanisms available to startups through various DST initiatives, grants, and schemes. Startup founders shared recommendations on expanding support for product development, manufacturing, mentorship, market access, and industry engagement. The interaction included discussions on creating innovation sandboxes to provide startups with structured environments for piloting, testing, and validating emerging technologies, thereby accelerating their adoption and commercialization.
The visit brought together startups, government departments, industry stakeholders, and ecosystem enablers to discuss sectoral challenges, collaboration opportunities, and pathways for the adoption of emerging technologies.
