i-Hub Gujarat Welcomes Dr. M.K. Shanmuga Sundaram for Strategic Startup Ecosystem Interaction
On May 14, 2026, Dr. 𝐌.𝐊. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐦𝐮𝐠𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦, 𝐈𝐀𝐒, 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲, 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫 & 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐡, visited i-Hub Gujarat.
During the visit, he interacted with 𝐌𝐫. 𝐇𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 (𝐂𝐄𝐎, 𝐢-𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭) and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐚𝐲𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐢 (𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐢-𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭), who presented an overview of the startup ecosystem, the state government-led policies and schemes supporting startups at various stages, and the initiatives undertaken by the Government of Gujarat.
The discussion also covered i-Hub's structured support framework, which includes mentorship, market access, infrastructure support, IP and patent filing assistance, facilitation of private funding, and other enabling support mechanisms.
He was also briefed on upcoming initiatives currently in the pipeline, focused on the IP Policy Framework and the Testing and Validation Policy Framework.
As part of the visit, Dr. Shanmuga Sundaram also toured the co-working space at i-Hub Gujarat, where he engaged directly with startup founders, understanding their solutions and the problem statements they have addressed through innovation.
