i-Hub Gujarat and Young Generation for Bharat Host Ghana Delegation to Foster Global Collaboration
On 𝟏𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, Young Generation for Bharat . in collaboration with 𝐢-𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭 hosted the 𝐆𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 on 17th July, 2026.
The delegation was led by Professor K Obiri-Danso, 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚, and included Kwasi Gyan-Tutu, 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 - 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦, along with senior policymakers, industry leaders, and business representatives from Ghana.
A roundtable conference was held between the delegation, officials from YGB and i-Hub Gujarat, and participating startups. During the session, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐇𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 (𝐂𝐄𝐎, 𝐢-𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭) presented an overview of Gujarat's startup ecosystem and i-Hub Gujarat's role in supporting innovators through incubation, funding, mentorship, and market access. The discussion focused on building long-term collaboration between the startup ecosystems of India and Ghana.
Key areas of discussion included facilitating visits by Vice Chancellors of leading Ghanaian universities to understand i-Hub Gujarat's hub-and-spoke model, enabling Ghanaian startups to engage with i-Hub Gujarat by organizing a 2-3 weeks program for them to explore collaborative opportunities, also creating pathways for Indian startups to establish and expand their presence in Ghana. The deliberations also explored capacity-building initiatives between ecosystem stakeholders, academic institutions, and innovation leaders from both countries to promote knowledge exchange and build bilateral startup collaboration.
As part of the conference, Memorandums of Understanding (𝐌𝐨𝐔𝐬) were exchanged between the 𝐆𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐬 to explore future collaborations across multiple sectors.
