Higher & Technical Education Officials Visit i-Hub Gujarat
On 8th July 2026, i-Hub Gujarat hosted a delegation of 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭, for an interactive discussion aimed at understanding Gujarat's startup ecosystem.
𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐚𝐲𝐝𝐞𝐯 𝐕𝐚𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐚, 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲, 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭, joined the roundtable discussion along with his team. The interaction began with a presentation by Team i-Hub Gujarat, providing an overview of its role in supporting innovators throughout their entrepreneurial journey, from idea validation and prototype development to incubation, market access and growth.
A key area of discussion was i-Hub Gujarat's approach towards identifying and aggregating problem statements from various government departments, corporations such as Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), industry associations, and organisations including IN-SPACe and ISRO. Through this approach, i-Hub Gujarat creates a pipeline that bridges the gap between industry challenges and innovators, connecting startups with opportunities to develop practical, technology-driven solutions.
The interaction also explored opportunities across emerging sectors such as Semiconductors, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Aerospace & Defence, Satellite Technologies and Data Centres. The conversation further covered the importance of engaging students, researchers and academic institutions in solving real-world challenges, while explaining how i-Hub Gujarat's Srujan Seed Support (SSIP 2.0) provides grant support to help innovators transform ideas into prototypes and progress towards building scalable startups.
The delegation further interacted with 7 startups from the i-Hub Gujarat, gaining insights into their technologies, understanding how they are addressing industry and societal challenges, and exchanging perspectives on future collaborations to accelerate startup-led solutions for real-world challenges.
