The current biopsy technique is completely a manual process and requires insertion of the biopsy needle into the bone passing through the skin and then to the bone by a screwing movement and a lot of feed force. The process is similar to the process of tubeless puncture repair. This manual method for bone biopsy is very crude and the results are also not very accurate and thus many times require repeated biopsy. Biopsy is already is painful process if repeated further increases pain and requires money to the patients. In this innovation, we automated this process by integrating various sensors as current and pressure sensor to sense the bone depth and accurately and precisely get the bone specimen. We proposed a device that is intelligent enough to sense the different bone regions and stop automatically at preset distance or at the bone muscle boundary.
